[it's been over a week now, and he's finally...coming to terms with the fact that raven really isn't waking up any time soon. the people in the pods may be safe- well, as safe as you can be while stuck aboard the good ship fuck-you-up -but that isn't enough to leave him happy about it.
when he makes the call, he knows already that it's going to head straight to voicemail. it doesn't make it any easier to hear though. so when he finally speaks, a good minute or two after actually dialing, his voice sounds subdued, if a little slurred.
yes, he's been doing his best to finish off the first bottle he could lift from the bar here.]
You know, you're kind of the only thing here that keeps me sane. [a pause. this...is probably a bad idea.] I guess I should be pretty fucking pissed at you for that. You're not- I shouldn't give a fuck about you cause it's not safe for either of us.
I guess that makes me selfish or whatever. But you make me- [feel like a real person. remind him that there's actually something good out there to be fighting for.
all that escapes him then though is a huff]
Don't fucking disappear on me. You've gotta wake up.
[he's ready to hang up there, but after another brief delay, he adds-]
I need you to.
[and the line cuts there. don't mind him. he's just going to head back to his old room now.]
audio; lmao you will never escape
